Wrapping Up This Year’s Little League Baseball World Series

W

The Little League Baseball World Series just wrapped up on August 24, 2025, and congratulations to Tung-Yuan Little League from Chinese Taipei for their successful run, giving Chinese Taipei their first championship since 1996. This was Tung-Yuan’s first win within the Little League World Series since 1972, with a more recent appearance back in 2015.

Their opponents, Summerlin South Little League from Nevada, representing the Mountain region, had a strong start at the beginning of the United States Bracket but bounced back after the upper final loss and went through the lower rounds, defeating Connecticut’s Fairfield National Little League, representing the Metro region. Tung-Yuan stood strong with their momentum in the international bracket and held their own against Fairfield National, with a 7-0 finish for the championship game.

Many credit Tung-Yuan’s notable performance to Lin Chin-Tse, who retired the first 13 batters and only allowed just one hit within five innings, hitting 80 mph fastballs multiple times during the tournament. Keep in mind how impressive that number is; the distance from the plate is 46 feet away from the pitcher’s mound.

Again, Congratulations to Tung-Yuan Little League, and I hope for more successes for them in the future, both off and on the field!
