A lot coaches when they start or wonder what they should implement within in their program, they always wonder what is the most important value or thought process that their players want to adopt, and so many coaches over time have developed these systems where they want their players to start adopting to get closer to what they see as the most optimal version of play that their level can achieve.

Many sets try to set values or a type of mindset for players to approach the game to help as a developmental tool for both inside and outside of it, which can do wonders if those lessons stick with the athlete later on in their life. Many have their own ideas or views on what’s really important that many athletes should learn and develop.

There have been many such cases where certain playstyles and systems are favored and set the ideal mindset that individual players need to adopt to be successful in those systems. You may ask yourself, “If I’m becoming a Coach, what should I prioritize first?”, and never think about what is fundamentally lacking within the players when they first play, having a basis where fundamentals are worked on the most is the most important part of a system, since teachings that try to circumvent avoid a fundamental understanding of the game usually fall flat towards competitors who have a better understanding of said fundamentals.
